The researchers acknowledged that policies and legislation are in place for many of the recommendations, but the resource commitment to meet the needs of young people in County Kildare are lacking. This report identifies that additional resources should be provided for: schools (through the Department of Education and Science), family support and counselling (through the Health Services Executive), youthwork services (as envisioned in the National Youthwork Development Plan) to address the needs of youth.
