The HQ Mark Criteria

 

1. Health Promotion Policy

2. Health Promotion Team - Job Description for Health Promoter and Terms of Reference for Health Promotion Team.

3. Organisational Health Promotion Strategy (includes a youthhealth promotion strategy and a workplace health promotion strategy).

4. Youth Participation Structures.

5. Peer health promotion initative.

6. Resource bank for health promotion.

7. Training Plan for Staff/Volunteers/Management.

8. Intersectoral Working and Partnerships.

9. A model of Good Practice for Health Promotion Activities.

10. Health and Safety Policy/Health and Safety Strategy.

11. Ensuring and promoting equality and inclusiveness.

12. Child Protection policy and procedures

 

Once the organisation has successfully achieved the Health Quality Mark, all publicity material, brochures, posters and flyers should contain references to the organisation as a "Health Promoting Youth Organisation"

 

Gold HQ-Mark: All 12 criteria to be successfully implemented.

 

Silver HQ-Mark: Any 8 criteria to be sucessfully implemented which must include

Health Promotion Policy (criterion 1)

Health Promoters Job Description and Terms of Reference for the Health Promotion Team (criterion 2)

Bronze HQ-Mark: Any 4 criteria to be successfully implemented which must include

Health Promotion Policy(criterion 1)

Health Promoters Job Description and Terms of Reference for the Health Promotion Team (criterion 2)
